Abstract : Classification of polynomial automorphisms on \mathbb{C}^2 by Friedland and Milnor was the stepping stone towards understanding the dynamics of these maps. The class of Hénon maps turned into the most important class of polynomial automorphisms. In this talk we will mainly focus on various dynamical aspect of Hénon maps which was developed by Bedford and Smillie.

Area: Dynamical Systems
